Welcome to River Forest Youth Baseball & Softball (RFYBS) — a place where kids laugh, learn, and fall in love with the game 

For over 70 years, RFYBS has been a big part of the River Forest community. Since 1952, generations of families have come together on our fields to cheer, coach, and support young players as they grow. What started as a local league has become a tradition built on fun, friendship, and a shared love of baseball and softball.

At RFYBS, we believe every child deserves a positive and encouraging experience. Our volunteer coaches teach the basics of the game while helping players build confidence, teamwork, and respect for others. We focus on effort, improvement, and having fun — because that’s where the real learning happens.

Winning is great, but watching players gain confidence, make new friends, and support their teammates matters even more. Whether a child is picking up a glove for the first time or stepping onto the field with experience, everyone is welcomed, supported, and celebrated.

RFYBS is more than practices and games — it’s families on the sidelines, high-fives after plays, and memories that last long after the season ends. We’re proud of our history and excited for the future as we continue to grow the game in River Forest.
